About Us

What is a Senior College?

Anacortes Senior College began in the Spring of 2007.  Since its inception, more than 1700 students over the age of 50 have taken courses, which are offered three times a year.  At the end of the Spring term, a banquet is held for all students who attended courses for that academic year.  ASC is run by and taught by volunteers.  Classes meet for two hours per week for either three weeks or six weeks.  There are no prerequisites, tests, or grades.  Our objective is to provide an enjoyable learning and social experience with friends and new friends.  A 6-week course is $30; a 3-week course is $20.
