What is a Senior College?

These are colleges located in other parts of the U.S. which are open to everyone 50 years of age or more.  These colleges are managed and taught by volunteers.  Classes generally meet for 6 weeks 2 hours a week.  There are no course   prerequisites, tests, grades or course credits.  Courses can be offered in almost every field: history, literature, science, computers.  Field trips, speakers and special events are also available.  The main objective is to provide enjoyable learning experiences with friends and new friends.  The only costs are $25 to join the college and $25 for each course enrollment.
